VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: FRESH ALLIANCE

“I find Clark County Food Bank a great place to work. A really nice community that accepts all different walks of life and diversities. It is a great place to meet people and get some exercise. You are helping the community and building your own community in here. A community within the community.”-Christene Y., Shift Leader

“The hardest work doesn’t feel like work. You love doing it and you feel such satisfaction in doing it!”-Darnell S., Shift Leader

At Clark County Food Bank, our volunteers are the heart of our operations. Among the thousands of individuals who give their time, our Fresh Alliance Shift Leaders stand out, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality training for all. These volunteers work within the framework of Fresh Alliance, a national program that connects food banks with grocery stores to rescue and repurpose surplus food.

We are so grateful for these volunteer leaders and the countless volunteers they mentor. Their efforts not only ensure the efficiency of our daily operations but also foster a sense of community and purpose among everyone who walks through our doors.
