SNAP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The SNAP program at Clark County Food Bank supports individuals and families in applying for food benefits. With a group of committed volunteers available five days a week, our team guides applicants through the application process, making it as easy as possible.
The SNAP application is based on key factors such as family size, income, and specific expenses. Once approved, participants receive an EBT card loaded with monthly funds for groceries. The Farmers Market will even double dollars on produce up to $25 per visit, ensuring that fresh, healthy food is accessible.
To facilitate the application process, we offer 45-minute phone appointments where our volunteers assist applicants in completing and submitting their forms. Following this step, participants will have an eligibility interview with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to determine their level of assistance.
We also provide resources for anyone with questions about eligibility criteria. Our team is ready to discuss income limits and other factors that might affect an applicant’s ability to access benefits. Through these efforts, we aim to alleviate food insecurity and support the well-being of our community.
