FOOD THIS FALL: SCHOOL PANTRIES

From October to May, Clark County Food Bank teams up with the Evergreen and Vancouver School Districts to bring essential food services directly to students and their families. These one-hour, market-style food pantries are set up right on school grounds, making it convenient for students and families to pick up nutritious food.

With the help of Share Vancouver, Family and Community Resource Centers (FCRCs), and many volunteers, we provide fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples, ensuring families can access what they need without the barriers of transportation or limited time. We also aim to offer a variety of culturally diverse food options when possible, helping to meet the unique needs of each household.

With access to healthy food, students and their families can focus on school, work, and their well-being without the added stress of hunger. By ensuring that everyone has the nourishment they need, school pantries don’t just fill stomachs; they help foster an environment where individuals can truly flourish, enabling them to chase their dreams and build brighter futures. It’s a simple way to make a big difference in the lives of families across Clark County, ensuring that everyone has the nourishment they need to thrive.
