AN UPDATE ON THE VISION CENTER
The long-awaited Vision Center at Clark County Food Bank received a big boost recently when Craig and Linn Dee Stein donated $1 Million towards the $5 Million goal to complete the project. It is the single-largest gift ever received by the food bank and the community space at the Vision Center will be named in their honor.
Slated to open in early 2024, the Vision Center will significantly help our community experiencing hunger by providing the additional capacity needed to ensure access to emergency food and services that will help identify the root causes of hunger, connect clients to social services, and help transform people’s lives towards independence.
The Steins have been longtime supporters of the food bank as well as countless other charities in Southwest Washington and beyond. Their commitment to hunger relief first started through Craig’s company, CSB Craig Stein Beverage. Since 2012, the CSB employee food drive has consistently been one of the largest local corporate food drives for hunger relief in our community. As Hunger Alliance Partners, the food bank’s corporate cause-marketing program, CSB’s financial support helped create the Community Kitchen Fruit Valley.
Craig is truly a self-made man. Growing up on the streets at 14, putting himself through college, and building his company that employs more than 1,200 people in Washington and Idaho, Craig enjoys giving back and lifting people up.
We are beyond grateful to the Steins for their philanthropy. Their generosity will make the Vision Center a reality to help serve, connect, and transform people’s lives in Southwest Washington.
